Cloud hosting and servers for businesses in Oman

From a first company website in Nizwa to an ERP server for a trading house in Sohar, Skyline Cloud gives Omani businesses hosting, cloud servers, business email and backup on one Arabic and English account. Everything you can start today runs in Riyadh, one border away. Prices are in Saudi riyals, with the approximate Omani rial figure next to each one so you can budget without a calculator.

What an Omani business can start today, and what is on request

The honest map comes first, because the rest of this section of the site is built on it. Five things are self-service from the console the moment you register. Two are arranged by our team when you ask.

Why a Riyadh platform makes sense for an Omani company

Oman is not one dense city. Muscat sits in the north, Sohar up the Batinah coast, Nizwa in the interior, Sur on the eastern tip, Duqm alone on the Al Wusta coast and Salalah far to the south in Dhofar. A business with a branch in two of those places already has a distance problem inside the country, before any question of where the server is.

A Gulf platform answers the parts of that problem that a distant one cannot:

What a Riyadh platform does not do is put your data inside Oman. If someone has asked you for that in writing, the local server request is the right door, and the cloud hosting in Oman page sets out the trade-offs in more detail.

Paying from Oman, step by step

  1. Register with your work email. No card is needed for the 14-day trial.
  2. Build and test: create the hosting account, add your domain and open a mailbox. Cloud servers are billed monthly from the wallet, so launch one when you are ready to pay for it.
  3. Top up the wallet in SAR by card when you decide to keep it. Your bank converts from your Omani rial account at its rate and may add its own foreign-transaction fee, so check your card terms.
  4. Renewals are taken from the wallet, and every charge comes with an invoice in SAR.

If your finance team prefers to see rials, switch the console's display currency to OMR. The amounts are converted for reading only; the charge is still made in SAR.

Where Omani businesses are using it

Each city has its own pressures, so each has its own page: Muscat for agencies and head offices, Sohar for port, freezone and trading firms, Salalah for the khareef season, Nizwa for family businesses going online, Sur for contractors and coastal tourism, and Duqm for project teams in the special economic zone.

Frequently asked questions

Can a company in Oman sign up and pay online?

Yes. Registration is open to businesses outside Saudi Arabia. You create an account, start the 14-day trial without a card, and when you are ready you top up a prepaid wallet in Saudi riyals by card. Plans renew from that wallet.

Where do the services run?

Web hosting, Skyline Mail, Riyadh cloud servers and the backup vault all run in Saudi Arabia, in the Riyadh region. A cloud server located inside Oman is a separate arrangement offered on request; it is not something you can launch from the console today.

Do you invoice in Omani rials?

No. Every charge and every invoice is in Saudi riyals (SAR). The console can show prices converted into Omani rials as a reading aid, and the OMR figures on these pages are approximate conversions through the two dollar pegs. Your bank converts the SAR charge on your card at its own rate.

Is VAT added for an Omani customer?

Our prices are shown excluding VAT. Where 15% Saudi VAT applies it is added at checkout as a separate line, and the checkout shows the exact amount before you pay. We do not advise on how Omani VAT treats the purchase on your side; ask your accountant.

Can I buy a .om domain from you?

Not in the online checkout. The .om registry works through accredited registrars and asks for company documents, so a .om name is handled on request through our team. A .com can be registered instantly, and a .om you already own can be connected to Skyline hosting and email in minutes.

What does the support team speak, and when are they available?

Arabic and English. The team works on Saudi time, which is one hour behind Oman, so most of your working day overlaps with ours.

Do you have an office or data centre in Oman?

No. Skyline has no office, legal entity or data centre in Oman, and these pages do not suggest otherwise. Omani customers are served from Saudi Arabia, and in-country servers are arranged per request.
